A Double Diagnosis: The Doves’ Story

Can you imagine hearing the words “your child has cancer”? Can you imagine hearing it twice? That’s exactly what happened to Erin and Ryan Dove. Their daughter Lily was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2013 and just months away from the end of treatment, her twin sister Bailey was diagnosed with the same cancer.

Now, several years after treatment, the Dove’s reflect on their journey and all that they went through. They worry about the future but try to live for the present. Bailey, an avid English student, dreams of becoming an English teacher and gives back through volunteering. Lily, who loves tennis and horseback riding, plans to become an accountant.
