The 21st Annual J.K. Lee Board Break-A-Thon fundraiser will once again benefit the MACC Fund. The event will be held at Bayshore Town Center on Saturday, February 28th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds will help support research into new cures and treatments for childhood cancer and related blood disorders. Community members are invited to stop by to donate and try their hand or foot at board breaking.

Martial Arts demonstrations will be performed each our. Always a great time and a great way to support childhood cancer awareness along with the search for a cure.

The world-renowed J.K. Lee Black Belt Academy focuses on building character through core values like respect of others and self, encouragment and support of one another, and celebrations of one another’s successes. These values form the basis for success in martial arts when coupled with an emphasis on physical fitness and well-being, not fighting. J.K. Lee’s talented, grounded, decorated adn disciplined ensemble of instructors are committed to changing both the lives of their students and the lives of those in the communities they serve.

Twenty-one years ago, one of their students was tragically diagnosed with cancer. The instructors at J.K. Lee’s knew they had to find a way to help their students and the community. J.K. Lee’s dedication to others is why the Board Break-A-Thon has been a long running, smashing success. Thanks to the Lees and their family of students this event has raised over $700,000 against childhood cancer. This year their goal is to reach $50,000 by teaming up with the MACC Fund. Come on out and help us “Kick for a Cure!” Visit http://2015JKLeeBBAT.kintera.org/ to learn more or to donate.
