MACC Fund Event Updates Due to COVID-19

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, many of the beloved MACC Fund events that we look forward to every year have been postponed or rescheduled. We will continue to do everything in our power to support childhood cancer and related blood disorders research, but in a way that is safe for our supporters, participants, and volunteers. To keep you informed on changes to the events, we wanted to share this quick guide to the status of all upcoming events:

Back the MACC Golf Outing

The 4th annual Back the MACC Golf Outing is scheduled for Monday July 27th, but it will have a slightly different look than in years past. The event will no longer feature a shotgun start, but rather continuous tee times from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. This slow and steady trickle of golfers will ensure the ability to adhere to social distancing guidelines, as everyone’s health and safety will remain our top priority. We hope that you will join us! To sign-up using our online form or to download the registration form please visit maccfund.org/back-macc-golf-outing-bog/

2020 Trek 100-Ride for Hope

The Trek 100-Ride for Hope is our largest fundraiser, raising over $16.2 million to help fight childhood cancer and related blood disorders to date. It’s typically held in June at Trek Bicycle’s Corporate Headquarters in Waterloo, WI and offers route options: 17 miles, 34 miles, 66 miles and 100 miles. However, the event this year has been RESCHEDULED to Saturday, August 22, 2020 as a VIRTUAL RIDE. To learn more, sign-up or donate, please visit www.trek100.org

MACC Fund Open

The MACC Fund Open was founded in 1977, making it the first major public event benefiting The MACC Fund in the fight against childhood cancer and related blood disorders. To date, this is our longest-standing annual event, raising over $2.2 million since its inception. The golf outing has been RESCHEDULED to Monday, August 24, 2020. However, the goal remains the same: to have an enjoyable day on the course while raising funds to support critical research for childhood cancer and related blood disorders. Brewer’s Mini Marathon

The 9th Annual Brewer’s Mini Marathon has been POSTPONED until 2021. To learn more, please visit www.race-brewers.com/

MACC Fund Goes Over the Edge

The MACC Fund has made the difficult decision to push the inaugural Over the EDGE event from September 1, 2020  to September 1, 2021.  This decision was not made lightly, however in the interest of health and safety of our participants, volunteers, sponsors, and staff, we felt it necessary to postpone.  We do have every intention to proceed in 2021 with an exciting event to kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in our community!  To register to participate in 2021 or to learn more about the event, please contact Dayle Bugalski at dbugalski@maccfund.org.

Blackhawk Tees Off Against Childhood Cancer

The first annual ‘Blackhawk Tees Off Against Childhood Cancer’ hosted by Blackhawk Country Club and supported by the Balance & Believe Foundation has been RESCHEDULED to Monday, September 14, 2020. We will post any event updates as they become available. To sign-up for our newest golf outing event using our online form or to download the registration form, please visit www.maccfund.org/blackhawk-golf-outing/

We will continue to keep you updated on all upcoming events as new information becomes available. Thank you so much continued support in the fight against childhood cancer and related blood disorders! If you have any questions about an event, please email dbugalski@maccfund.org
