Celebrating 45 Years of Hope

45 years ago to the day, on Jon McGlocklin’s jersey retirement night on the Milwaukee Bucks floor, the MACC Fund was founded. Our co-founders, Jon McGlocklin and Eddie Doucette, set out to help children like Eddie’s son Brett who was diagnosed with ALL at age 2. They wanted to ensure that no child would ever have to deal with the harmful side effects of cancer treatment.

Since that day, we have given over $76 million to childhood cancer and related blood disorders research which funds new clinical trials, experimental treatment options, and ongoing support programs for survivors. The MACC Fund was based on a community, and that’s how we continue today, with a community of strong supporters and donors who want to make a difference for kids.

In honor of this milestone moment, we’re taking a look back at the beginning and looking toward the future of our organization with our President & CEO Becky Pinter in this video interview. Thank you to everyone who helped us reach this moment, and happy 45th birthday to the MACC Fund!
