For the 19th year in a row the Milwaukee Ale House will be closed on a cold February Sunday for their annual Midwinter Brewfest benefitting the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC Fund). On February 21st from 1pm-5pm, the Third Ward staple will play host to over 30 local and national breweries and 900 craft beer lovers.

Those who purchase a ticket will have access to unlimited samplings throughout the afternoon with a commemorative tasting glass donated courtesy of Boelter Beverage. The beer tasting takes place in the main restaurant/bar area, lower area and the lower level garage. Attendees can expect live music in the main bar area while the UW Alumni Band entertains guests in the lower level garage. There is also the opportunity to win some great raffle prizes donated by local businesses and craft breweries. Usinger’s Sausage, Palermo’s and Milwaukee Pretzel Company.

SInce 2005 the Midwinter Brewfest has raised close to $200,000 dollars for the MACC Fund. “What keeps this event so unique is that one hundred percent of the proceeds go to the MACC Fund. We have a lot of local business partners that donate their time and raffle prizes to make it a fun day for everyone that attends” says Milwaukee Ale House owner, Jim McCabe.

Tickets are on sale now for $45 each and can be purchased in person at the Milwaukee Ale House or online at www.mkebrewing.com and www.ale-house.com.
