LAST CHANCE TO SAVE ON REGISTRATION FOR BREWERS MINI-MARATHON AND 10K PRESENTED BY SENDIK’S

Registered Runners who Raise $40 or more for the MACC Fund will Receive Exclusive Running Cap

MILWAUKEE – The fourth annual Brewers Mini-Marathon and 10K, presented by Sendik’s is just around the corner on Saturday, September 26, and runners who register prior to July 31 can save on the registration fee.

During the first three years of the Brewers Mini-Marathon and 10K, race participants have helped to raise over $190,000 with all fundraising proceeds benefiting the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.) and childhood cancer research in Wisconsin. Fundraising for the MACC Fund is supported by Brewers Community Foundation and runners. Participants can create their own fundraising page at BrewersMini.com and submit online donations. Individual fundraisers will have their name entered in a raffle for with the chance to win great prizes. The top three fundraising groups will win a special prize.

The Brewers and the MACC Fund are excited to announce another exclusive fundraising incentive this year. Registered runners who raise at least $40 for the MACC Fund will receive a limited edition Brewers Mini- Marathon and 10K running cap. The navy blue performance cap features the Brewers Mini and 10K logo on the front and the MACC Fund logo on the side. Runners who qualify for the cap will be notified in September and will be able to pick up their running caps at Packet Pick-Up on Thursday or Friday, September 24 and 25, in the Miller Park SKYY Lounge.

Last year a combined 7,200 runners, representing 39 states and six countries, participated in the Mini-Marathon (13.1 miles) and the 10K race (6.214 miles). The races both begin and end at beautiful Miller Park with unique courses that take participants past Milwaukee landmarks including the Miller Valley and the Mitchell Park Conservatory (The Domes). It also gives participants the opportunity to run inside Miller Park on the field warning track.

All participants will receive a free Brewers ticket voucher good for select games at Miller Park in April or May of 2016, a participant medal and a “tech” shirt. A post-race tailgate party at Miller Park with live music will also take place. Prizes for the top finishers will be awarded.

The cost for the Mini-Marathon and 10K, respectively, is $75/$55 for those registering before next Friday, July 31, $85/$65 for those registering between August 1 – September 20 and $100/$80 for those registering on packet pick- up day (if space is available).
