TODAY’S TMJ4 SPORTS AUCTION 4 MACC–TUNE IN AND BID OFTEN—Saturday, December 16th, 1-3pm, TODAY’S TMJ4, Milwaukee’s NBC Affiliate

Make holiday gift giving extra special with a great sports collectible during the TODAY’S TMJ4 Sports Auction 4 MACC!

You’ll be sure to find something special for your favorite sports fan during the TODAY’S TMJ4 Sports Auction 4 MACC on Saturday, December 16th. This live broadcast hosted by Mike Jacobs and Carole Meekins will take place from 1-3pm on Milwaukee’s NBC affiliate, Channel 4. A simulcast on NewsRadio620 WTMJ will run following the Wisconsin Badger Game. The radio station’s Jonathan Green will be the Sports Auction’s special auctioneer once again this year throughout the 2-hour live broadcast.

The highest bidders will not only be able to scratch a few names from their holiday gift lists, but will be helping children with cancer and related blood disorders in the process. Your winning bids will translate into a special gift of hope.

Scott Kelnhofer, Editor of F & W Publications will be on hand to verify the authenticity of the unique sports collectables up for bid.

The auction will feature five auction boards with five items on each board. The Red Board will be sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans; the Gold Board will be sponsored by Sargento Foods; the Blue Board will be sponsored by The Milwaukee Bucks; the Purple Board will be sponsored by Trek Bicycle Corp. and the Green Board will be sponsored by the Medical College of Wisconsin. Each Board will have a 2-minute final countdown clock sponsor as well with Steinhafels on the Red Board, Champs Americana on the Gold Board, Pepsi on the Blue Board, ADAMM on the Purple Board and GE Healthcare on the Green Board. The 2006 TODAY’S TMJ4 Sports Auction 4 MACC marks the 26th consecutive year of TODAY’S TMJ4 broadcasts for the MACC Fund starting with MACC*ATHON in 1981. TODAY’S TMJ4 has played an important role in helping to increase the overall rates of survival for childhood cancers from 25 percent to 80 percent in the past 26 years.

The primary beneficiary of MACC Fund support is the Midwest Children’s Cancer Center with research conducted in the MACC Fund Research Center of the Medical College of Wisconsin. The MACC Fund is also pleased to support ongoing innovative research efforts underway at the Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
