Saturday, December 10th also marks a very special date for the MACC Fund. The MACC Fund will celebrate its 29th birthday on December 10th during the live broadcast. It was on December 10, 1976 when the MACC Fund was founded on the arena floor during the retirement of Jon McGlocklin from the Milwaukee Bucks. Since that time, $25 million has been contributed to research which has played a part in the overall cure rate for childhood cancer of 80%. The primary beneficiary of MACC Fund support is the Midwest Children’s Cancer Center with research conducted in the MACC Fund Research Center of the Medical College of Wisconsin. The MACC Fund is also pleased to support ongoing innovative research efforts underway at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Comprehensive Cancer Center.
